QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree with an emphasis in Math, Statistics, Finance, or related field or other majors in conjunction with credit for preliminary actuarial exams (VEE credit)
- Good PC skills, including the use of spreadsheets and databases, and aptitude for insurance and actuarial software
- Basic knowledge of insurance concepts
- Good communication skills
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support actuarial analysis to assist in the development of rates, reserves, and financial forecasts used in actuarial recommendations and reporting.
- Maintain actuarial databases. Compile, categorize, document, and validate data for analysis and related reports.
- Effectively use actuarial software to support decision analysis, including a basic familiarity with actuarial software and models used to support work assignments, accurately maintaining model inputs and reviewing reasonableness of results.
- Assist in preparation of actuarial communications including financial reporting, profit or risk analysis, response to regulators, or information for management or agents.
- Assist in the implementation of new actuarial systems.
