Event / Project Coordinator
Kansas City Life Insurance Company, a recognized leader in the insurance industry, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our Sales and Marketing department. The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 3 years of event coordination and/or project managing experience
  • Attention to detail and the ability to listen and follow instructions
  • Word, Excel, merging documents, creative writing and phone skills required
  • Demonstrated problem solving, patience, and deductive reasoning skills
  • Ability to adjust hours or to work extra hours when needed to accommodate vendors in different time zones and/or internationally and the ability to travel are required
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are an essential function of this position.
    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Research, plan, execute and reconcile bills and invoices for small to mid-level meetings and events which includes working with internal clients, outside vendors and service providers
  • Take an active role with assigned duties on larger programs such as GA meeting and incentive trips
  • Work with the Communications Department and Conference & Travel Manager to create creative elements for all meetings and marketing plans for KCL and OAIC incentive trips
  • Learn and master the online registration system Cvent
  • Handle bill reconciliation/processing, reimbursements etc. internally via Workday
  • General office work to include but not limited to preparing files, notebooks, preparing and creating lists, mailing projects, name badges and proofing.
