Kansas City Life Insurance Company, a recognized leader in the insurance industry, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our Operations department. The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • College degree/or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years or more programming/system analyst experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a lead.
  • Experience and detailed knowledge of existing user business functions in order to apply software solutions to these areas to the fullest extent -- both at KCL and all subsidiary companies
  • Broad knowledge of application architecture, standards and procedures across all platforms
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple testing projects concurrently is critical to meeting schedules
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and people management skills
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position
    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Development of plans for testing/verification and implementation of all new systems, system modifications, and enhancements in the various companies within the corporation.
  • Validate systems integrity and quality through Model Office test systems. Notifies IT of required modifications. Manages and facilitates user testing and training on new and/or enhanced systems.
  • Review, implement, follow-up on required changes/enhancements to systems and modifications of workflow, procedures and necessary documentation to support corporate strategy.
  • Training of users for all aspects of system utilization to maximize the effective use of all software and procedures.
  • Assure ongoing system maintenance through follow-up on system monitoring tools for data integrity.
  • Maintain a highly qualified Model Office staff capable of fulfilling corporate goals of assuring maximum efficient use of software for maintaining cost control.
  • Assure the effectiveness of all corporate users by simplifying, standardizing, and automating the systems security process across all platforms and providing systems security related services.
