QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. CPA designation is preferred.
- Financial accounting and reporting with 5 to 9 years of experience, preferably in investment accounting, with solid experience in GAAP and statutory accounting.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- High professional ethics particularly in accounting or governmental regulations.
- Leadership by example and the ability to work as part of a team of motivated professionals. Ability to delegate tasks or to receive and manage a variety of tasks and to appropriately exercise decision and time management philosophies.
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage key financial processes and functional responsibilities in the Investment Accounting area.
- Review and evaluate financial statement analytics, variance analysis and management reports.
- Review and validate Management’s Discussion and Analysis, footnotes and other regulatory reporting.
- Evaluate accounting research in regard to new accounting standards for both statutory and GAAP. Develop recommendations for the implementation of the new standards.
- Direct, plan, and manage investment accounting staff.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
- Complete special projects and directives, as assigned.
