Kansas City Life Insurance Company, a recognized leader in the insurance industry, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our Operations department. The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 2 years of experience in Insurance, Quality Assurance, Security Administration, Programming or College Degree with an emphasis on Information Technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the functional areas and their computer processes or technical expertise involved in testing computer systems &/or security administration
  • Prior Project Management experience preferred
  • Technical aptitude to develop technical knowledge of computer software systems and the software tools used in testing & security administration
  • Strong negotiating, training, analytical, organizational, management and communication skills
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide necessary computer security for new, existing, and terminated employees. Review the unauthorized use of systems and data; assist in the resolution of security related problems and questions across all company platforms; and assist in the reporting of security administration to internal and external auditors
  • Ensure a precise production environment by performing/providing the following functions: Change Control Facility, Regression Testing, CyberLife Data Corrections, Policy Fixes & other Help Desks, CyberLife Time Driven Errors, monitoring of the Production Policy Counts, etc
  • Provide Model Office (MO) testing of a system change or new product by: 1) Compiling the MO test plan; 2) helping to build the test system; 3) completing the MO test; and, 4) resolving the technical or procedural problems which arise during testing
  • Assist user departments and IT by: 1) answering questions and simulating production transactions as problems arise in both production and IT projects; 2) establish training sessions or documenting procedures as needed for a system change or new product; 3) providing project progress through reports and/or meetings, and 4) promoting a team atmosphere to assist in the timely completion of projects
  • Develop technical expertise by learning TSO/ISPF, JCL, KCL IT standards and procedures, security access software and various other computer software and tools.
